About the Track

The Ardennes roller coaster is considered by many to be the most fascinating race track of all. Due to the height difference of about 100 meters along the track and the numerous curves with high centrifugal forces, the track is also nicknamed the "Ardennes Roller Coaster".

History

Since 1925, the Belgian Grand Prix has been held there with some interruptions; since 1950 as a Formula 1 World Championship race. The track was shortened from originally 14 km to 7 km in 1979 to meet the requirements of Formula 1.
